Got a fair bit today in Swansea, will be dodgy driving today and looks like there more up there.

Is it me or are the winters geting colder and more snow in UK in last 3 years. Global warming - bah, dont belive it.

Take care in the snow.

Cheers

8 inches here in Surrey - made the mistake of trying to get out, had to turn around and then got stuck outside my house.

Spent 25 minutes digging myself out with the help of 4 neighbours we managed to get the van back on the drive so I can plug the heater in.

Totally ped off, I've loads of work on and I'm skint from xmas  :(

And what was that famous comment made by the (American) female newscaster when she turned to the weather forecaster for the morning's update on the previous night's lack of snow as predicted?

......oh, yes.

"So tell me Andy, What happened to those eight inches you promised me last night?" :o

On the last measurement about 1 hour agao we now stand at 10 inches and still snowing >:(
Only managed yesterday to catch up on the jobs that were cancelled before xmas and now I've others backing up. Should have done a quote for a large 3 storey property with all the mattresses and sofas etc, and the car should have gone for MoT this morning, but I'm not taking the risk.

Not too much in south Cheshire today, had it all yesterday. Problem is people keep calling to postpone jobs untill the snow has gone. Just because of a bit of snow the world comes to an end!!

Re: winter's getting colder? I'm old enough to remember ice on the inside of the windows when I woke in a morning. No double glazing, no central heating and walking to school in short trousers rain, hail, sleet or snow. Some of you youngsters don't know the meaning of cold.

Global warming - bah, dont belive it.

In order to justify slapping taxes on things it's now called 'Climate Change' because global warming didn't carry much weight when we've been having the cooler summers and wetter/colder winters.

Don't forget to put a deep freezer in it-then your snowman can discover the secret of eternal life ;D

About 6 to 8 inches of snow where I am - this morning the neighbours opposite me struggled to get off their driveway in their 4x4, and my wife saw the TNT delivery van slipping sideways across the road till it hit the kerb  :o

Couldn't risk taking the van out but only had one job today - and that was about 300 yards up the road.

Managed to get to the job by carrying/pulling all machinery and equipment, ably  assisted by wife and kids !

Customer was so impressed by our efforts to get to them that I got a £20 tip  ;D

I give up! If my kids say "I love the snow" one more time I will not be held responsible for my actions!

We got 4 - 5 inches of snow in North Birmingham yesterday.  Lani the police dog loves it as she is only 3 years old however Ben my own dog is nearly 13  and not over impressed.  Lani runs up & down the garden with her nose in the snow then flicks it up in the air and catches it.  Got stuck on a car park this morning in the car, 4 bin men pushed me out....they aint collected my rubbish but got me out the car park  ;D  Most main roads are now clear but side roads are a nightmare (mine included) what makes it worse is i live in a cul de sac that is on a slight slope.  The island at the bottom i have now mastered in the snow/ice.....little bit of hand brake and the back comes round nicely  ;D
