I dont pay my staff for hours lost due to bad weather,
Everything is worked on an hourly basis, including holiday acrument.

where I am we only usualy lose a few days a year due to bad weather so the lads make it up if they wish by working weekends. Some call me mean but the lads are happy as it keeps them employed.
I pay well and look after them, but they realise that if I were paying them during a spell like this we would all be unemplyed pretty quickly.
