Yes, that's what needed, Alex to come up with a decent ladder. It should be light, have a very short closed length, and reach beyond gutter height and to the apex of most houses. Not much chance of that though, the last i heard he was thinking of becoming a tax exile.
What am i on about? Well ladders, they are useless.
As you know i've just switched vehicles to the scudo comfort maxi, and expected the truck racks roof rack off my old scudo to fit.Well it doesn't, there aren't even any bolt holes in the roof to fit to.It was mentioned that i should get a fitting kit from truk racks.
But even if i fitted it i never liked having a roof rack, and on the new van the roof is much higher. So i wondered if i could get a ladder inside the upper roof. Measuring told me i'd got a bare 2.5m, so i've been looking for a decent ladder.
That's why i mention if only Alex would invent a good one;he's quite a niusance clearing off like that when we've got work for him.The best i saw was the zarges skymaster eight rung, £208 midland ladders but over £500 local retail. In the end i bought a 2.5 triple generic, £156, which fits inside the roof and is light and goes way above a gutter.
