Protecta cote coming off - any tips?
« on: December 04, 2009, 05:31:56 pm »
I put about 4 layers of protecta-cote (a whole tin) on my Trafic floor about 4 years ago but noticed today a couple a small patch has come off. This is in the same spot of where I throw my hose reel into the van and over the 4 years it has slowly 'shaved' it off.
Its only a small patch, so dont want to spend £80 odd on a new tin so can anyone recommend a way of repairing the patch? It doesn't have to be too duarable, as long as it is water tight, as I could cover the floor with ply to protect the protecta-cote.

I would put some rubber matting down mate (B and Q) £15 for 2 x 1 metre
You can't polish a turd

Good idea H2ose but I need to repair the damage first as water will get under the rubber mat and corode the floor, but will use the rubber mats instead of the ply to cover the repairs.
