Upholstery Cleaning
« on: December 03, 2009, 10:31:20 pm »
Hi,
I had a call from a prospective client about cleaning a stain from an armchair.
The material is a blue and really looked like and felt like silk.
It's a Harrods purchase so quite an expensive item.
The client phoned Harrods to find out the material and its apparently pure cotton.
The stain is just a very small spot probably a food stain.
The material looks like it would mark easily. What would you recommend?
I think that water extraction would leave a watermark?
Can anyone help?

Do your usual colour run test on the zipped part (Hidden) of the cushion with the custy's permission but remain confident at all times.... But if you're really that worried mate, don't take the job on. I've turned quite a few jobs down in the past if I haven't been too confident in the job and this seems to have a positive effect! They then know that they can trust you not to knacker their prize posessions and you're not just in the job for a quick buck.

Good luck and I'm sure we'd all be interested to see how you got on......
