Selling as a business.
« on: November 23, 2009, 07:03:17 pm »
I'm still looking at all options at the moment, selling up Lock, Stock and barrel is still an option.

What would you  expect to pay in x monthly turnover?

it would depend on what you business has to the value, value of the work name numbers ect maybe 10x monthly but this would depend on how good work is and how well priced, I would not have a poblem paying high money for good work, but at the same time I would pay min money for poor paying work and this seems the norm that is being sold.,

I agree with Ian,

There is no such things as a standard round so there's no such thing as a standard monthly value of a round.

If there was a genuine round for sale that was all cream work and earned £300 per day then surely it has to be worth more than the 3 or 4 monthly value average?

I'd say it's worth asking 4 cleans for any bog standard round.

PDS (Pat Dudley Smith) often posts on here selling newly canvassed rounds for 4 cleans) - Though I'd agree that a newly canvassed round is not worth 4 cleans. - I think he sells to non-window cleaners mostly but I could be wrong.

You might not be able to sell it for 4 cleans - but at least ask.

Why undervalue it in your own eyes if it's worth more than that in a potential buyers eyes?

If you find the right person then renting the round out is worth thinking about.
