« on: November 19, 2009, 08:27:35 am »
1.expense and higher overheads.

2.hassle!equipment problems

3.RSI-back/neck/shoulder/elbow problems after a few years

4.less consistent results-eg easier to make a bad job!

5.most domestic custys would prefer dry windows{trad!}

6.large van needed in the main for the ton of water u need to carry!

7.having to keep moving van on large compact estate work.

8.hoses, pumps freezing in winter!

please feel free to add more WFP guys! ;D ;D

dazmond you are giving these cons before even having a WFP set up in the first place, you shouldnt knock it until you have tried it, WFP is the future of window cleaning especially when H and S is concerned, then you have the added benefit of not sticking your head at some womans window first thing in the morning to clean it :) It is after all only water and it dries perfectly with no streaks if done right. I have had no problems yet, apart from today being written off due to the rain - my first time i have had to do this :(

I could add to that list but the fact remains that I couldn't manage without WFP. I couldn't manage without trad either.

Two different tools each with pros & cons. Limit yourself to just either one & you are, as said, limited!

Have both & use both to your advantage, you are then unlimited & fully competitive with any other W/C'er

Hello Stephen,

I have to agree with macmac on this one.

You are better doing both ways trad and WFP, as you do have the best of both worlds.

Also it gives the customer more choice.

Adding to your services rather than limiting you.

Kind regards. :)

the man is weighing up the pro's and con's of going wfp after 15 years (I believe thats right) of being trad.He has listed what he belives to be the con's and is after some advice and opinions of how to resolve the issues raised. He is considering a considerable financial outlay and is after some justification for doing this, you guys could give him the benefits of your experiences and give him some useful comments instead of slateing him.I for one would be interested in some more constructive replies

yes you are probaly right i could be more helpfully.but surely he now knows how much its going to cost, then the next thing is to buy it and get out there and learn whats best for him.cause he knows his round better than anybody,
so its no good me telling him do this do that cause on his round i could not work.

there hope that helps ;) ;)

perhaps if he had both posts into the one instead of seperately then there wouldn't be any confusion choppy.
