pressure washer for cleaning facia
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:24:35 pm »
does anyone use a pressure washer with a telescopic lance for cleaning facia and the outer plastic of gutters? we use reach and wash for this at the moment but it can be a pain in the neck, quite fiddly and time consuming. we already have a very good cobra pressure washer 3000psi and just need the telescopic lance. your thoughts and opinions please.

You do not need a high flow pressure washer for this Lee,

Trust me I have one it has to be turned right down and still is ott.
the smallest pertol one you could find would be ideal for this type of work.

Is it possible to run a household pressure washer off a car battery ?
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

You would have to use an invertor but the battery won't last 5 minutes

I use this method, take a look at some of the pics on my website on my profile, the lance I use is from polarbrite, £150

I've had great success with an X-jet spraying from the ground. I use a SH (Bleach) mix to pre-treat the gutters,.. wait 20 mins and just rinse off (Make sure to pre-wet all plants/lawns in the area as bleach can brown the leaves). If they're really dirty the long lance is still needed tho.

I'm interested in investing in some equipment to do the same job, saw the Omni-vac website and thought the complete kit they sold was the muts nuts, but unsure about this powerpole business. are they really heavy and a pig to work with??

Hello Lee,

To be absolutely honest your better off not using a pressure washer at all.

Water fed pole is better than that and just finish off with some good quality detailing using ladders.

Ihope this helps.

Kind regards. :)

I find its the best thing to wash the internal and external sides of the guttering and fascias and soffits.
So much quicker too.
