thanks for your replies i will go and try the suggestions, last question, on my windows 7 i have absolutely everything set for english uk but for some strange reason my work list on the main menu of george show the $ instead of the £ ....

Hello Michael,

Try re-installing it in windows XP mode, this should solve that problem or change the currency settings in your regional settings in control panel.
