where about are you?
this will effect your decision to buy a RO set up or just a DI.
http://mgwc.org/index-4.html has a map to give you a rough idea what your water will be.
Surest way to find out about your water is a tds meter. they go for about £15. you will need one if you go wfp to make sure your water is pure ;)

You would not want to lift a 50l trolley in and out of your vehicle, especially if it was full of water. May be OK if you could have a ramp for it.

You're better off with a 25l trolley, much easier to move about.
