More proof that window cleaners are gold
« on: November 11, 2009, 01:21:09 pm »
I was continuing my quest to grow my round this morning. I was cleaning the houses I picked up yesterday, I had the two middle houses on a row of four, but to gain access to the rear of these houses I had to go through the gardens on the outside of the row. Whilst I was up the ladder doing the first house I spotted a bloke go into his conservatrie and watch what I was doing. Now bear in mind to do the back of the next house I was going go have to go through his garden I thought he was going to have something to say to me, and I was correct. Turns out he is a retired window cleaner, been out the game for 5 years but he was giving some great tips, telling me the names of a few of the other local cleaners to aproach as some of them mite have some work they may want to pass off.
Nice bloke and has obviouly done ok for himself as it's a big conie and nice 4x4 in the drive.

I bumped into one of the other window cleaners that the retired guy mentioned, he also gave me advice on areas to try and canvas and as he's got enough work for himself anybody that aproaches him he's going to recomend me.

Just as well as my canvasing today drew a blank, supose it had to happen as this last week has been decent. I'll move onto an area that's been recomended tomorow. Maybe worth doing a full days canvasing tomorow as the schools are off round here tomorow and Friday.
