« on: October 26, 2009, 06:15:54 pm »
Hi

Has anyone had the same problem as me. I have installed windows 7 but now all my prices in george are in $ and not £ have checked all my settings on the pc and all regional settings are all set to UK anyone else had this problem. I'm presuming it's george as i am running wcp too but no problems there.

thanks dave, Have you had a problem where the daylight saving is not in GMT it's all in UTC. Plus did you upgrade or do a full clean install

As standard all operating systems install american key board, go into settings and keybord and select english uk then click apply. Then select the american keyboard and delete, it will say it cant but it will go when you restart your pc.

Did ya make the move to WCP Dave? I'm on the 45 day trial(yes..........you're to blame, lol) after your gripes last week i had to agree that George can be unstable at times........Like i say, i'm currently trying WCP and i am lovin it. Brad's been a massive help too. Looks a totally more stable outfit IMHO.

I have not tried wcp pro yet, i have not had time toi switch my data, it is going to be a massive trauma for me, so i am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I feel like banging my head against a brick wall.

I might have to wait until April 5th,

As for W7, I have just baught a brand new pc with it already pre installed

Brad transferred mine for me............But i don't think i'm in the same league as you........i'm a sole trader......I like the simple life lol. But like i said, i emailed Brad my latest George back up. I had it up and running within a couple o hours. I gotta admit........i think i'm hooked. Sure it's a learning curve......but no more and no less that riding a bicycle. And i'm a numpty aint i Brad?  ;D

Your not a numpty...as i always say learning a new software package is a learning curve, Ian has the advantage that he coded the program so knows 'his baby' inside out. Me...i'm just the surrogate father and i'm learning every day too. Personally speaking i think it is an easy, logical program to use and there are little bits that you get caught out on that when you find out how you go 'Oh yeah!'.

The two things i would say is ..1- Take a quick look at the 'Help' button on the toolbar, it is a useful resource and does exactly what it says on the tin! And 2- Ian and i are always here to help if you get stuck.
