How have people got on with them?

Are they sturdy enough?

I used them for my first year - most are fragile and rather bendy. Good for two storey work. Easy to leave a section behind. The expensive ones are good for very high levels but still very fragile. Cheap ones are not normally carbon.

mine is slightly over 2 years old now 

i think it might have been last week it hit its 2nd birthday

20 odd quid for a really really lightweight pole thats lasted 2 years ( despite being not up to the job as some said at the time )

yes you cannot throw them around or run over them in the van, but i do not handle mine with cotton gloves, 2 years speaks for itself

value for money, hell yes
ease of use, tick that box aswell
lightness, deffo

give it a whirl, you only have 20 odd quid to waste

Sparkle bright I have a 4 year old Map F16 and a new Map M16 from Cheshire Fishing, which I reccomend as being strong enough, also at the show.

yep....they are still sold on fleabay etc... even cheshire fishing sells them....but they aint half pricey on there...i got a replacement section on fleabay for 12 quid a couple of months back when my top section broke

remember all you will need to do is buy more base sections and you have a pole you can take up to just about any height you can get away with (speak to jeff about getting them up to 100 feet)

I wouldnt go the fishing pole way as mine snapped straight away.
So I paid out £700 for the supermax 45ft. Its so light and easy to use. Ok, it cost loads and I put it on a 13month interst free card as its the most expensive thing I have bought for w/c other than the car.
I was gutted I had to pay so much but its so nice to use and I enjoy the job so much more when using it.

i have had my maver poles now for nearly 3 years without any problems except for snapping the top section (my fault) anyways alex had inserted some kind of plastic ball shaped thing in the base of each section and it is as strong as his gardiners superlites (sounds like a brand of ciggys)

if i was looking for another set of modulars i would have gladly paid that 300 quid, no worries at all.

Opinion is divided on the matter.

We all think fishing poles have there place in window cleaning. Ewan doesn't!

Seriously though I have used carbon fibre fishing poles on domestics and various telescopics. For me the carbon fibre fishing pole was the second best option out of four poles.
