Upgrading pump
« on: October 08, 2009, 11:00:18 am »

Morning all,

I am looking to no if it would be safe to upgrade the pump on my spare macine, it currently has a 135psi and i was hoping to be able to upgrade it to 400psi or more, is it pretty straight forward or would there be any problems at all.

Any help would be great here thanks. ;)

Could well be problems.
Physical size of the new pump for one.
The are the pipes already in the machine capable of taking the extra stain of a higher pump.
Thats just 2, could be more.

If it's a ninja, definitely not.  the internal plumbing is rated 300psi (red goodyear hoses, probably the same for most low pressure portables i'd guess)

It'd be a much better idea, and cheaper, to sell it and replace with a machine built around that sort of pump.
