Limescale on high window - suggestions please
« on: September 22, 2009, 07:43:49 pm »
I have new job which is mostly a doddle.  However, there is one window at the top of their stairway that has a lot of limescale runs.  It's a non opener and can only be accessed with a pole from the outside.

The loft tank overflow is above it and has been dripping on the window for some time.  I've got the glass and frame looking ok except for the limescale runs.

I can use an old brush head to apply limescale remover but not sure what product to use.

I was tempted to try some Viakal on the brush and leave it for a while but decided I needed some advice from you old pro's before cocking up!   ;D

Any suggestions on best way to remove these runs using a pole would be most appreciated.

Cheers

I've been using Viakal lately - good stuff - except when it goes in your eyes. Bit pricey but I like it. I'd rather use it than that Windsol Crystal Clear rubbish.

Viakal gel is good and I also use some thing call Doctor power+ has a slight abrasive action but need to apply with  a flat applicator on a pole and scrub heavy deposits glass must be wet.
