Angle adaptor
« on: September 20, 2009, 05:49:24 pm »
So there I was the other day working away with my SLX when zap, I managed to break the angle adaptor.  No problem I thought as I carry spares of most things.  And then it was that I discovered that my spare angle adaptor had a major architectural defect:  There was no hole in it.  This was one of those moments when I look a bit more closely at equipment and noticed that while most suppliers drill a hole in the no1 section of their poles (to take the pole hose), Gardiners tend to supply the angle adaptor with the hole instead - a much better way of doing things IMO.
No great shakes really.  i just reverted to using my Ionics glass pole.  When I needed some extra height or needed lightness for an awkward angle, I just got the SLX out and used it with external pole hose.  A bit fiddly but I got by.  I now have some angle adaptors with AND without holes   ;D
