iv got an ionic system started cleaning a house today n there was just no water coming out checked the pump its still pumping water thru but really quiet i have a split charge relay system if thats right that i thought continually charged the battery.anyhow gota take it to walkdens in bolton tmoz for them to check over it all they fitted the split charge relay for ionics.first good day of weather too today all week that i hoped to get a five or six house done this afternoon coz im gettin behind.always the way isnt it!!!!!!!!!!

check all connections after pump, could be a faulty stop valve (hoselock or whatever).... or even an airlock.

Never rely on a SCR unless you do plenty of miles they Just don't charge the battery enough despite what any one says, you hammer your battery for the day and you would have to drive a fair distance to get anything like a small charge back into it do the same the next day and so on and your battery will soon become useless.

I often wonder how many auto electricians calculate the output of the vehicle alternator to see if its capable of dividing the charge amongst 2 batteries to charge them both to acceptable levels? My money goes on not many of them.

Also its quite plausible for the contacts in the relay to become welded together due to exsesive and constant current demands of your auxiliary battery.

I have a split charge relay fitted, that charges two 110amp leisure batteries but it is not the standard size of wiring that you can buy with the SPR kits.

This stuff is heavy duty 5mm thick? and I was informed that it will charge a battery in one hour. This may be true or not - I don't know.

What I think is that a smaller wire (like the ones on the kits) will surely only put a trickle charge into the battery and not being a mechanic I can only presume that a bigger wiring system will allow more charge, more quickly???

I can say, even when on local work I have never had to charge my batteries up!!!
