so whats the life span of ans slx?

I've been using my MK1 from when it was first launched, so that's almost 2 years now. Pole doesn't show much wear at all.

The trick is to keep the pole hose off the ground, hence dirt isn't brought in the pole. That's the main cause of wear.

I use a pole hose tidy, one of the best things on my pole in my opinion.
Are u sure,I thought I bought one of the first ones in April 2008.

Also someone on here has an slx(might have been macmac) which they said they have hardly looked after properly but is still in good working condition, which dont make much sense if cleaning the slx is that important.

If the sections seem a little tight when extending & retracting it's just the newness. They will have very little drag once the surface coat has worn a little. This is normal for a new pole. Both my facelift & slx were the same when brand new. ;)
