i have been asked to pressure wash some wooded decking.
i have not been pressure washing for long , so would like some advive.
i amagin it could damage the wood if not done properly, is there anybody that can tell me the do's and dont  ?. and is there anything i have to apply afterwards ? any help would be very welcomed.

Hi paul,
When doing this job dont use a turbo nozzle (a spinner). It will take chunks out of the wood.
I would use a "normal" fan spray and do long even sweeps with it, if you see what i mean. the important thing is to get an even finish.
It may need varnishing after.

I personally pre-treat with Sodium Hyochlorite diluted to about 5%. Unthickened bleach will do the same job, just spray on and leave 15 mins to soak.
It removes the green algae and moss, and means you have to use a lot less pressure when cleaning. Rinse well when you're finished or the bleach will make the deck go silver/grey (I think it looks nice like that, but custies may not agree) and always wet surrounding lawn & plants before and after the bleach is applied as it can brown the grass & leaves if left in contact too long.

the decking is about 5mx5m in diametre, how much would you charge to stain it ?
i bet you need 2 coats aswell and to power wash aswel  ?
what is liberon like to use and how much does it cost  ? i've got to give the quote by tuesday, so any help would be very welcomed.
also what would the average time to do the job  ?
do you also have to do spindles and handles is it expected of you  ? and come to thinking of that what is exactly expected of you in pressure washing decking ?  ( as the norm i suppose )

To pressure wash it ... 2 - 3 hours including set up time and packup.
I would say two short days to stain it. One day a coat. plus what ever the stain will cost. As for the amount of stain, check out the coverage on the back of the tin.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME  TO HOW MUCH TO CHARGE FOR POWER WASHING DECKING 5MX5M AND STAINING X 2 COATS  JUST AN APPROX WOULD BE GREATFUL THANKS, AS I'VE NEVER DONE DECKING BEFORE

for £200 mind, you would be travelling to the job, setting up, cleaning it, packing away, waiting for a full dry day, travelling to the job, apply first coat, wait 2 hours or so, applying the second then clean up the brushes.
So its two seperate trips and a bit of faffing

Not just a full dry day, and this is the problem here in Blighty.

Two days minimum prior to the day of the job then the day of the job needs to be dry too. A lot of manufacturers recommend 3+ dry days prior to application.

It's was June the last time we had this and then surfaces were getting too bloomin hot for application.

We've had one waiting to be oiled for over two weeks now!

£200 + VAT seems a fair price.
