« on: June 30, 2009, 07:44:14 am »
I have been asked to protect some hall chairs, they are cream & textured and look like soft vinyl. do you know if they can take a solvent protecter. (fine dose off course)

Cheers Paul

They sound like flock type buffalo, alcantara fabric. The construction relies heavily on adhesive to bond the fibres so great care should be taken, but I would say dont use solvent.
Also questionable is the benefit of protector on this type of fabric so if you do it make sure you explain to the client what to expect, they might think they wont get mucky or mark.
