STORAGE SOLUTIONS
« on: May 02, 2005, 12:22:26 pm »
Hi

Am looking for a good storage solution for me van. Have looked at Hydramasters Shelfmaster, but too pricy. Anyone have any suggestions.

Ideally something similar to Shelfmaster,  but CHEAPER.

Cheers

Dan.

Got a local Chippy to fit van out, designed it between us, cost me £180.

As it is completely bespoken it is great - everything has it's place and is safely stowed.

From what I have seen from the racking people look very good, my main concern with these was the added weight to van!

I use wire baskets from key industries, they are very light and can be fitted to the ply lining of the van.

I am pretty handy with woodworking so I designed and fitted my own storage. It is great to make something that all the different sized bottles etc. fit into nicely. I also partitioned the van so my machine is in a separate compartment to the rest of the gear and exits via a ramp out of the sde door. Incidently the ramp is a piece of plywood that slides away at the side of the machine. (simple, cheap and effective!!). God I love DIY
