Pole Length
« on: May 02, 2005, 09:13:02 am »
Hi Guys
I am building my own pole system. What I need to know is what length of pole will I need to go to a 3rd and 4th storey building. What would be the length closed and open and where can I get the cheapst and best pole from. I know that this may have been discussed before but I cant find any topics on it. I dont want to buy the wrong size and find that I have to fork out for a new pole later on. My largest job is a 3 rd storey block of flats i.e Ground,1st 2nd 3rd. I have however been offered 4th storey in the past but without the system I couldnt do it.
I know you guys will help me out.

40 ft sounds about the length you need, they usualy come in 6 or 8 ft sections so a 6 ft closed would probably be about 8 ft with all sections and a brush head, this type of pole will be quite heavy so for doing ground and second floor windows I have an ionics residential 12 ft pole comes in 3 sections of 4 ft so when closed you only have 4 ft pole which is handy for doing ground floor this pole is very light and I think it is about £90
cheers,
Temps.

You want the cheapest and best.
That's a tall order.

I could recommend the 36ft powerpole or even the 45 ft powerpole now these are strong poles and should last years and don't bend like fibre glass poles.
The 36ft pole i think was about £460 that does include the vat but i would check with omnipole first.
Also the powerpole take a shed load of attachment so you could use them for other jobs also if you get the attachments.
