I cut myself with the scraper blade a while ago. Thought nothing of it as this happens all the time. Only problem is that it would not stop bleeding, so I ventured to the chemist to get a plaster. When the chemist saw the cut and the position of it ( Wrist, dont ask) he told me that it will never heal up unless I get stitches cause whenever you move your hand the cut would re-open. So off I went to the hospital, where they put them disposable stitches on. The funny thing is, they had to also bandage it round the whole hand and a good way up the arm to restrict my wrist movement. So I looked in a rather bad way for a week. You could imagine the fun that was made of me when the bandage came off and all my mates got to see this pin head of a cut. They seriously thought I had put the bandage on to get simpothy. Yee right.
I must add though that I am typing with a cut finger from cleaning the bottom of a door and slicing my finger on the door kick.

Would you all please just stop it. Despite having had a relatively serious incident myself last year falling off a ladder, my bottle was still in tact until reading all of this.
I know I'm going to regret asking this, but is there anything intrinsicly dangerious about working with a pole?. For example has anyone dislodged a complete pain of glass & had their head cut off?.

At one house they had an old english sheep dog, sitting in hall by front door, I was about to put ticket through letter-box, when dog launches at door, so I opens letter-box, places ticket flat on my hand and blows ticket through letter-box....but dog barks just at same moment and blows ticket back out through letter-box....cunning these canines :o :o :o

a friend of mine was wiping the top edge of a window , when he realised he was slicing his finger tip to the bone--the window actually had a 1inch gap at the top(cut glass, razor sharp).the pane must have broken, and theyd replaced it with a more inhumane design , for us lads! the poor lad had to go to casualty :'(

The first time I ever used a razor was 2 months into this business.  I had this habit of running my thumb across my squeegee to take of any anomolies.  Darned if I didn't forget what I had in my hands!  I habitually slid my thumb right across that bleepin razor!!  SSSSSLICE!!!  Yeah...can you just feel that?!!

Oh my goodness; those scrapers!

That is where 95% of my scars originated. I think I have scars on 8 of my ten fingers.  ;D

Some could have used a stitch probably. Butterfly bandaids a must in your first aid kit. ;)

Don't you get angry at yourself when you get in a hurry and get careless?

We have all done it.
