may need to enter the program files. To do this copy the files that will be contained within the backup information (probably in sub folder(s) and go to your local drive (HDD) or storage device normaly identfied as default configeration (C: Drive) and go into "program files" in the local drive and look for the program name. I dont know this program so dont know the actual name but im guessing it will be called "george software" or something. go into that folder and paste the information from you back-up in there. If this doesnt work then remove all the documents you just pasted by right click then "cut"  and place the files into each folder contained within the "george software" (or whatever) and run the program and see if it has restored the information on your program. keep doing this till u have exhausted all the folders available and you should find that i will work.

There may be an easyer option available through the program itself if it has a restore facility programmed into it.

the above information works on all restorations of any files that have been lost however can be difficult to understand to people who are not very computer literate. You cant do any damage to your computer as long as you dont mess with files from "windows" folder.

If you mess the program up somehow then just go to control panel/add remove programs and delete the software and then reinstall it and you can try again.

Hope this helps, if not then contact the program distributer.

Colin.

Hello Fergus,

When you use George for the first time and you want any data restoring as long as you know where that data is saved to you can use the data restore utility provided on their website for download or just send them an e-mail for it as its free.

When you run the data restore tool, you then need to browse for the backup and voila, data is back.

Hope this does help, let me know if you have any problems or give me a ring on my mobile.

Kind regards. :)
