First for the spelling,but more important for using the words amateur and idiots regarding  a post re working in the rain.I m not usuallythat way out,i think i d probably just got in wet through but no exscuse.It s just that having built my buisness up over many years and got it running superbly wet or fine it only takes one of the summer only cleaners to tell there clients we don t work in the rain and anybody who has there windows cleaned in it is an idiot ,quote, for me to have problems as in,my friends w/cleaner says etc etc so as you can see it winds me up a fraction.Anyway as i said earlier sorry if i offended anyone never meant to. cheers mick

It's very hard to clean in the rain...placing ladders, soaping-up, blading then detailing...all this while trying to hold an umbrella

If the windows are sheltered to an extent from rain cascading down the wall above the window then the glass should be fine if the wind isn't blowing the rain sideways directly onto the glass. If the glass isn't sheltered from the weather at all (i.e. bay windows) with minimal sills and bargebards above windows not soffitts then you could be asking for problem window cleaning results after inclement weather has passed.

No it works allright in the rain.

I don't do it much cos you look like a right wally when it's peeing down, I dont like getting wet, and most customers will object anyway.

If people want to work in rain then its up to them, theyre probably richer than me.

Drizzle, light rain yes, heavy rain forget it.

Likewise, i am very established buisness and have been for several years, i don't do much residential now when i did i never did it in heavy rain, light rain no probs.

its a free country though you can clean when you want!!!

rain droplet in the clouds are relatively pure TDS wise as they fall through the atmosphere they pick up dirt -obviously more in the cities than in the country. So combining a 14TDS rain droplet with that of a just cleaned windows of 0TDS droplet that is a combination of about 7TDS - supposedly spotless!

Since you have rinsed all the dirt of the window it doesn't matter about rain water - that's how the rain guarantee works! because rain wont make a noticeable difference to the overall finish

carry on working.. although you get wet as the days goes on..

the customer doesnt want cleaning in the rain

ask them to be honest and most will say " oh not really "

they might tolerate it, but if some1 comes along who lets it be known that they dont clean in the rain, they just might go with them

i have picked up a complete close, because 1 of them asked me if i cleaned in the rain, she moaned about her cleaner doing them in the rain, i picked up the whole close

You should do enough to not have to worry about cleaning in the rain,3 days and should be earning your keep.
