Apart from excellent service, what do you give or do extra to woo your customers after you have cleaned for them?

What will make them refer you more and keep coming back?

I used to do fridge magnets but found that everyone has intergrated ones, also I used to leave a spotter but am uneasy with h+s instructions on side of bottle.

What do you do or use?

Please don't put fantastic service is enough that is not what I am asking!

Dave Ingram once sold me a machine and then he gave me loads of extras to our deal I went away very chuffed, see what I mean.

I have to say that I do very little extra. A top quality job does seem to be enough in London to keep the phones ringing..

However I do remember talking to a guy on a Dri - Eaz course who left flowers at every job.  He was from Huddersfiled. I am sure that the florist found that a pleasurable experience ;D He was convinced that it was a winning formula and that it worked well for him. It certainly would make his clients remember him.

We leave clean, fresh carpets and upholstery, a good impression and peace of mind.

I leave them with an A5 laminated "1st Aid for spots and spills" guide. My phone number etc obviously included - they hopefully won't bin it. I also leave them with a Carpet Care document (A4).

the flowers were an old servicemaster ploy.when the spring broke and everybody suddenly wanted stuff cleaned you would steal/pick bunch of daffodils(readilly available) and wrap them up with a little servicemaster business card inside and give to the lady of the house after you finished cleaning...the idea was that at next spring time she would see the daffs outside and remember the gift last year...also servicemaster vans were daffodill yellowish and it all tied together nicely

dont know if they still use that marketing ploy or not been away too long
