Holidays
« on: April 26, 2005, 11:46:50 pm »
Hi fellas
Okay how much holiday do we all take a year. After years of window cleaning I have looked back and found that I hardley have taken any time off. Okay I only work 3 days and a bit but it still amounts to nearly 40 hours a week.
So come on guys lets find out how much holiday we all take.

Holidays used to be as and when I could get them.

Now i'm earning more, I take a week in June, a week in Aug, and a week latter in the year.

I also have Bank Holidays off and try to have 3-4 long weekends walking somewhere,

The lad I work with is just coming round to taking time off, so the weeks he is off I will work Mon-Wed and then relax.

I like being an expencive window cleaner!

I don't much like taking time off...it's too hard to get back into the swing of it again.....however, this year I'm off to Gozo (diving) for a week (in 3 weeks time).....and in September I get married, then off to Alicante for a week.....2 hols in one year ! , I'm spoiling myself..lol.

Usual Bank Holidays, week or so for Christmas, taking a week off in June to go up to Scotland golfing and walking etc, then a fortnight in October to Tuscany, plus a few long weekends away or odd days off for a game of golf.

My "better half" gets 25 day a year plus Bank Hols, so I try and take those same days.

Luckily there are people there to cover when I am away both on windows and carpets, so I don't have to come back to a hectic start up.
