FIRST WINDOWS EVER THAT CANT BE WFP
« on: April 08, 2009, 05:50:44 pm »
Ive come across my first windows ever that cant be wfpoled. They are in a narrow street of a large complex where the wind rushes down it.

The wind is carrying dirt and lands on the wet glass, and it not just a light covering, Ive never seen anything like it, they are getting coated in dirt only 5 mins after wfp them!! Back to the squeege for all the windows in this alley!

I had a row of upstairs windows like this last week. Went back 3 times.
In the end i wrapped a towel around my brush and dried them off. Job done.

Wait for a day when the wind has dropped?
It's a game of three halves!

I agree, just like you would avoid cleaning high window with a wfp in high winds.  Doesn't mean they can't be done with a water fed pole.

its always windy in this alley, thats the nature of it, the wind rushes down it as its a wind trap, luckily its only 25 windows all ground floor!

dust will cling to dry windows more than wet ones, it's just one of those areas that you have to look at that you are cleaning ready for the next layer of dirt and if you didn't,think what they will look like in 3 months :)

try doing them when/after its been raining? all the dust and dirt will be wet so wont be able to pick up as much with the wind

I agree, dust will settle onto water because of its surface tension ( almost like its statically charged ).
