« on: March 25, 2005, 09:22:15 pm »
I have purchased 2 1000l water tanks from a bloke on ebay, i was woundering if any one knows what fitting i can use to connect the tank to the pump to get it to the tank in the van, it is quite a large drain fitting on the tank, i think its about 2 3/4 inchs,

Hey Dazza
Sorry mate not sure what you mean do you;

1.have a tank of pure water at home/garage that needs pumping into a vans holding tank.

or 2.Have your new 1000ltr tank in your van that  simply needs attatching to an onboard pump for wfp cleaning.

I pump my water from a 1000ltre holding tank to the tank in my vehicle using a sump pump connected to 1" hose this work fine for me as the water has to be pumped about 25 mtres as I have limited access to the tank.

The red piece was supplied with it, all you need to do is drill the cap with a flat bit.
