WFP questions
« on: July 06, 2005, 09:26:59 pm »
A few basic questions about WFP:

Is it possible to do "upstairs only" with WFP withput wetting the ground floor ?

What do you do if an upstairs window is open?

(1) no ground floor will get wet
(2) try to get them to shut it, or some windows you can shut with your brush by turning it around and applying pressure, if neither of these can be done take extra care.

Hi, im very new to WFP, I find the best way is to go round the whole house upstairs, then start at the first bottom window using the trad way.  By this time the drips should have stopped.
Works with me but then I have only been using a WFP for a month,

With my "whole house" customers, I intend to do downstairs with the WFP also - I hope to bring my customers round to the fact that I have invested alot of money, it would be a nuisance to put the pole away and get the trad. equipment out etc.etc.

With this in mind, would it be possible to do the window beneath the upstairs one I have just done before moving on to the next window?

me again... I was doing a huge house the other day, I tried doing the bottoms with the wfp system but couldn't get the control as with the higher windows. probably because the pole is quite long.  Also little tip, you get a better 1st clean using the trad method. I found people will accept more runs, white spots etc on the higher windows aslong as the bottoms ones are A1.

the windows below get wet and probably give their window cleaner something to moan about...if they haven`t got a cleaner, it wont be long till they ask you to clean their windows. No-one has ever moaned to me but if they did I would tell them its pure water and nothing to get worried about.

Perfectly Clean
invest in a mini pole about 3ft long with a 10" brush...no problems with ground floor.
I tend to do patio doors Traditionally as these tend to be where the customer will look out of mostly and I like to leave them with a dry finish on these.

Glen
the water from the windows above will be dripping down the brickwork collecting dust and dirt before dripping onto the window below so you have to leave it a few minutes before doing the ground floor windows.
