i still use the traditional ladders for work
i dont use a van because 80% of my work is within 10 mins walking distance of me house .
the other 20% is 6 miles away
i transport my ladders on roof bars when cleaning out of town
without wanting to sound stupid,how could it benefit me using wfp?
most of my houses are in rows of 4 or 5,surely it would slow me down having to wheel hoses over garden walls,whilst wheeling a big water container
if it works for you ,i am not putting you down ,i just fail to see if this could be adventageous to me if i used the wfp system.
i know safety is of great importance,but i have never had any accidents in 15 years

I do not use the wfp system; I am definately interested.  I have not seen one in use in my travels over here:  ever!

But I guess it depends on circumstances; don't know.  It is surely a preffered method over there!

I am going to try it one day.  Be careful in your daily climbs!

Hard to say really, iy doesn't have to be a trolley, it could be a backpack or van mount.
Anywhere you can go with a ladder, you can go with WFP, you do have to adapt, even change your way of thinking with regards access! No, really, if you have been going 15 years you will have your modus operandi grooved so smoothly you won't even think about it
Of course if you are walking from your home and carrying your equipment with you for 80% of your work, then that would have to change, no way on earth could you cart enough water with you

But in operation itself, even an ineffecient WFP'er would be 25% quicker.
And quite regardless of all the obvious safety benifits, it's so much EASIER too.
I don't personally think the WAHD is going to cause the average domestic window cleaner any problems for some time yet (insurance claims notwithstanding) So you can probably continue using ladders in time honoured fashion.
Unless you changed the way you work and worked directly out of your vehicle for all of your work, then you are probably right, WFP would not suit you.
But if you do have clusters of houses close together, then WFP is very effecient.
It's when you have a small, stand alone account that their is no improvement on the time it'll take you to do the job. (It's still easier though )

To see if you would like it enough to change your entire work patterns, see if you can tag along with a WFP window cleaner for a morning, you wouldn't have to use it, but observing an experienced user negotiating gardens and obstacles would certainly give you a much better idea as to whether it would be suitable for your own work.

When I first started to use WFP I used to get really mad at the hose getting stuck on them weelie bin wheels, and in a lot of cases didn't bother to use it as it seemed to take longer than useing ladders, But as you use the system you become more confident with it and slowly you start to do more and more, as above with groups of houses its the B's but you have to change the way you work  (I do the top windows on all the houses first plus any high or leaded ground windows then blade the rest) at I said at first it can seem to take you longer but now I it takes less than half the time. As for single calls I designed a system so that the hose reel was on the back of my estate on the pole was secured on the ladders this worked faster than getting the ladders off (once I learned how to controle the length of hose,and the best place to park the car). The only other problem I had was my arms ached like hell for the first few days.

Once you are used to it you then have the choice..
Do all your work in half the time or twice as much work in the same time?

i`ve been using wfp for about six months it was a little bit slower at first,but now im up to speed.but once you`ve done a days work without risking any falls it makes it all worth while.and very hard to go back to ladders all of the time
