Hi there

Roughly, I have a set number of hours per room if its a one off 'spring' clean:

   Kitchen - 2 hours
   Bathroom - 2 hours each
   Living/Bedroom/Hall, Stairs & Landing - 1 hour each
I usually then add on 2 hours for interior windows & a bit of leeway

If its an end of tenancy clean or if the rooms are enormous these times will be longer.

or if its a regular service, roughly the number of hours = the number of bedrooms if its weekly or a bit more if its fortnightly.

Don't know about anyone else, but its not really an exact science, you have to do a few and learn to judge how mucky a house is without insulting the owner.

Hope that helps

Diane

Does no one have a pricing list, which goes by the house size not the number of hours????

Im thinking of for regular visits not one-off cleans.

anyone??

You'll be lucky to get anyone to help on that one, I asked a very similar question a few weeks ago and got no response! ::)

I doubt there is a form for regular clean pricing because you just have to figure out how long it will take then times that by your hourly rate!  If you don't want to tell the customer then just give them the overall price not the number of hours.

Also, I would suggest that when you meet a prospective client, ask them questions to find out whether they have had a cleaner before, how many hours they worked, etc then base your quote around that.

Its all experience, counting bedrooms, bathrooms, etc and trying to see how untidy or clean a place is  to judge the price.

Hi Mike

I charge my usual hourly rate for ironing as we only do ironing in clients homes as part of a regular cleaning service.  I use a steam station type iron that I bring with me so I can iron 8 to 10 shirts in an hour which means they get a lot done in the time.

Does that help?

Diane
