I use Unger gloves the black 1s for the cold but up and down ladders seem to ruin them within a week or 2, as any 1 got an alternative, this becomes expensive

1,   A good supply of cheap gloves. underneath ware a pair of latex disposable ones. when they are wet and cold change them, then dry them out overnight.

2    This may sound silly, but, ware an extra layer of clothing and a hat, the reason our hands get clod first is because our core body temperature is a little low, keep it slightly higher and there is no need for gloves

I don't like Unger gloves.  They make my hands sweat; then dry them out.  They also smell of peanuts and, as you say, don't last long.

Wor Lass and I both use heavy duty marigolds (black; not pink or yellow) - available from hardware stores, with cotton inners from Boots.  Buy extra large marigolds and medium sized inners (unless you've hands like buckets).

I use three pairs of inners per day.  When one set gets damp; I swop them for a dry pair!

Long lasting, warm, dry hands, protected from your detergent (I have sensitive skin the big puff I am); and they're inexpensive!

I have used ungers the past two winters - I buy a new pair in Oct. and chuck'em - due to holes - early Spring - but during the last cold snap I put disposables (not latex but like the ones you sometimes get at the diesel pump to keep your hands clean - sandwich bag polythene - loose fitting) underneath - they make a real difference.

In fact now I use the disposables on their own whether trad. cleaning or pole. One set lasts till lunchtime and another sees me thru' - they're only about £2 per 100 pairs.

Yeah they stink them unger gloves... takes me ages to get the smell of my hands at night. thats a task in its own right.

I wear gloves all the time while cleaning windows. I want my hands and nails to look great all the time.

I buy the chemical gloves from Walmart;  $4.00, and then I wear gardening gloves also from Walmart $3.00 as a liner.

The cold season is short here; but we do have one; for that time, 2 liners and thicker gloves.

In the summer I wear the liners for one or two days then wash them. It is smelly when your hands sweat. (And I just cannot have that!) A woman should always smell sweet!

I buy the size large outer gloves and size small or medium women's garden gloves(pink).

Works great, and cheap too!
