We supply and change light bulbs for £1.35 per unit

But only change when you are on-site do not run across at their whim

Nice little earner

Although not offices (we clean communal residential areas only) we change all lightbulbs during supervisor visits each week however;

1. We do not charge for the service merely for the bulbs at cost (it takes little time and is USP and/or added value)

2. when we started doing it we had quite a hike in insurance believe or not and had 3-4 additions to our H&S Policy and risk assessments as strictly speaking you should isolate power at the fuse prior to changing - I know it verges on the the ridiculous but as per NIC/EIC guidelines and our (paranoid) H&S advisor we ran a full mornings training course to certify certain members of staff to do it.  We are only insured for supervisors/manager or Directors to do this and not cleaning operatives (that kept down training and insurance costs).

guys have got to say i,am stunned at your low prices.

alot depends on the type of bulb or bulbs you are supplying but i charge it at £25.00 an hour minimum.

1/travel to site

2/check all bulbs inside and out of building

3/ remove all old/dead bulbs.

4/ get new ones usually long life they tend to cost ££££££££££££ ????

5/back to site fit and test new bulbs.

it takes time you usually need step ladders and a couple of screw drivers.

its one of them jobs that has to be done and nobody wants or can be bothered to do.

i can and want these jobs but i charge for my time and effort and supplying the bulbs.

in fact just got a job in but its 30 miles to travel the company who i work for understand this and expect to be charged for my time.

just my 2 pennys worth  ;) know your worth  ;) ;)

The worth for me is getting the 20-40 hour a week contracts - at a price (£15-18.50p hr in Central London) above some of my competitors because thay charge extra or the client brings in another company to do the bulbs.
