REMOVING PAINT FROM WINDOWS
« on: January 02, 2009, 02:15:22 pm »
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

Whats the easiest way to remove paint from windows, is there some kind of special scraper (obviously don't want to scratch windows) or is it white spirits!

thanks in advance
Jason

Thats an easy one...

Use a Glass scrapper. Or you can use a scrapper that holds a stanley knife blade.

Also wet the glass, with soapy water... never scrape glass dry or you will scratch it.

Make sure the glass is not toughed glass it will scatch whether you use a wet or dry blade
sometimes its safer to use a good solvent but takes longer!

Also a small amount of WD40 on the paint will help to soften it prior to scraping. Never scrape a dry window.

It's sadly not my tip (Kim and Aggie) hold that honour.
