Pure Water Static System
« on: March 10, 2005, 09:19:21 pm »
Has anyone made their own static pure water making facility.
I have a 700ltr tank inside van twin reels and three cylinders. One for filling the tank the other two for the reels.I currently use 3 x 25 ltr bags of resin every three weeks so i need to go onto static facillity.I can get one from my pole supplier but would like to make my own saving 3-4 grand.I would like to know if anyone has made one and some details of whats needed.I know i will need water supply/mains drainage/electric but does anyone have anything differnt?
Thanks

I set my static up with the help of Andrews water
1000ltre tank
RO
Resin colume
Water in
Waste out (to drain)
sump pump
Job done...
I use about 300 to 400 ltr's a day x 5 days
I used one and half bag of resin in the last three years tds reading never allowed above 5 ppm
Ro's save a fortune on resin...

Andrews help me decide what I needed (thankfully he sugested a RO) then sourced the equip and supplied it, I collected as I like to see people face to face (this was also useful as I gained a lot of valuable info) installed all equipmnt my self (no major problems for an average DIYer)also andrew was on the end of the phone when needed,That was three years ago and as mentioned above running cost very very low (my supply TDS reads 270 /300 ppm)so compared to some of the cost I read other WFP'er are incuring I feel very lucky (and a little weathier)
