I need to invest in a 45ft pole.

I borrowed an ionics 45ft ergolite. I found this to be quite rigid but heavy.

Next level down I used my 31ft xtel hybrid which (and I know it's shorter!) was much much lighter but at full height was flexing all over the place.

my ideal pole would be the sl-x but unfortunately it only has a 35ft reach.

I like the weight and rigidity of the superlite but I'm not sure how I would get on with a modular pole (Eg. I need to climb onto some flat roofs and clean from there - easy with a telescopic pole, not so easy carrying 5 or 6 seperate sections ??)

Looking on gardiners website, the x-tel carbon fibre 45ft version of my pole seems to be lighter than the ionics pole weighing in at 4.92kg compared to 6.2kg.

Has anyone had any experience with any of the mentioned poles that could offer some advice or reviews ??

IMO go for a modular pole try the F16 pole its around 42ft & very light if your DIY minded

The SL2 goes up to 70 odd ft.

The 45ft X-Tel is currently the most usable telescopic in its class due to the shortest section lengths. It is a very convenient pole, if you need to have telescopic facility.

I will need a pole by march/april for a definite job, maybe sooner, but if I had an idea when it'll be available I could hang on ??
