went to have a look at a suite today found a bit of spare fabric wet it and it went as stiff as cardboard, quickly dried with me hairdryer and fabric went back to its original state no skrinking or adverse affects , have I just come across my first dry clean only suite ?

Was it like a mock suede type of thing?  I've encountered microfibre fabrics that do this, one only did it when I applied a protector but not during the clean, but it turned out fine.

was it protected, i posted a thread resembling this occurence a few days ago.
thought the customer who told me this was nutz.

Same as Jim, I did a mock suede that went hard when damp, but it dried fine.
