Now with the colder nights setting in, if you have a trailer/truck mounted/stored machine it is well worth winterizing it after use. The last thing you want is a frozen pump when you start work, easy to do takes around 2-3 minutes at the end of the day.
All we do is run a 50-50 anti-frezee solution through the whole system without a lance on, so you need to have HP hose going into your draw tank/container so you are cycling the anti-freeze, run this for around about 2 minutes, then shut off machine. Attach your lance, start machine up again and pull the trigger a couple of times, so that the unloader valve is also had anti-freeze through it, switch off machine, pull trigger to release pressure and you are done. Pump, unloader, HP hose and lance should all now have a anti-freeze solution in them.
Even if you have packed away your machine for the winter, it is still worth doing.
