 Does anyone use these with thier WFP, and if so do they work OK? Thinking of putting one on mine when it arrives later this week.

Yyes they do work the only problem i had was the spring coil snapped.........£200 for new reel but you can get from bq for about 50 quid

I did think about getting one, but you only get them with about 30m of hose, and the mechanisms have a reputation of breaking down.
The manual ones can carry 50m-100m depending on the reel of course, and they can take more abuse.

Used one for a while but as already mentioned they only carry about 30mtre of hose have now traded mine in for a wall mount type (50mtre)fittted inside the van or to the door, and a trolley type with aditional 50mtre, I now park the van and do several houses without moving the vehicle (remembering to mark hose run with warning cones) got both my reels from Screw fix less than £90 for the two.

 sorry, I actually meant the ones that are self coiling, a bit like the old iron and kettle flexis, you can get them in 50 & 100ft lengths that coil down to about a tenth of its full length.

Used them as well for about a day great idea until they start to get tangled, stil have one somewere in the garage if you want it (May take about half a day to untangle though)

i found the no.1 prob with wfp is the hose and how to control it.i bought an omnipole trolley system that came with hose but no reel.its a re e l  pain.trying to find a small enough reel that i can attach to my trolley-detach it.anyone got ideas?i have 30 mtr of airline hose.

I started with a trolly (sack truck) hitched to the back of an estate, used this for about two years, found the best way to use it was to leeve it attached to the vehicle, tried several types of reel, small ones ( from places like B&Q)worked fine (need a little Ingenuity to fix it to trolly) As the car was on its last legs I eventually attached the hose reel to the boot lid and put the water containers / battery / and water pump inside vehicle looked odd but worked great.

i went thru all of that hassle of hoses started off with tricoflex great hose shame about my back especially as we do domestic and were on and off all day.
best answer has been auto return reels from b&q at side and rear door of a transit last 2 were on for about a year even 20 metres will save you some work and sometimes thats all you need. alos use small diameter hose from stream yellow and very small bore have had on the van for over a year now really good hose i use 2 hozelock reels with 25metres on and one with 50 metres this way the hoses are less than half the weight of tricoflex. only thing i can't solve is connectors usually buy 2 a week as they get smashed about. but not having to haul those reels has made the job 100% better

The ones i have are recoil but as i said if you give them alot of abuse ie reeling in too quick the spring will snap
