Does anyone insulate there tank hose in there van

Im thinking of insulating the hose than runs from my tank to my pump and from pump to plate on back of van.
Now i don't know if this would work but im thinking about putting the 1/2 pipe on my system through a larger diameter plastic plumbing pipe and filling the pipe after with expanding foam.
What are your thoughts on this do you think it would stop the freezing or not and if they did freeze would it take longer to defrost as they would be insulated.

We use the grey foam pipe lagging stuff around our van pipes
to and from pump.Got it from Wickes DIY.
We also put some red immersion heater lagging stuff around the pump overnight in winter.
Just got to get some small heaters for the vans now and that should do it.
Worked lat year -did not get frozen up once.
I've said it now :

I did try the foam lagging last year and was good bet kept knocking it off and got a bit torn.
Maybe i should have gone over that with gaffer tape.
Actually might do that again and go over the whole lot with gaffer tape to stop the foam getting damaged

Lagged mine but if it's going to freeze it'll be your metal cased pump that will cause the trouble. I have written the word isopropanol on mine and that does the trick.
