Fitting brush head
« on: October 29, 2008, 05:53:21 pm »
Quick question.

I have removed my brush head from my Unger pole for a proper rinse.

I am struggling to get it re-attached via the angle adjuster.

I am stuck with a nut, bolt and plastic fastener.

What is the combination to get the head securely fixed again?

Sounds like you've separated the two halves of the angle adapter. ::)  Put the bolt through the bit you turn to tighten the adapter, then through one half of the adjuster.  Put the nut in the other half of the adjuster and then you can turn the tightener to screw the bolt into the nut.  Hold both bolt and nut in place until the threads bite.

Next time unscrew the brush head from the end of the adjustable angle ::)

Cheers.

I thought it would be easier than untightening the usual joint as I like this kept tight and firm.

I guess I was wrong.

Thanks anyway, I thought this was the combination so will perservere.

Success!

I had been trying this method for an hour but had obviously not been getting the thread friction to the nut.

I pressed my thumb against the nut and awkwardly span the fastener quickly and it tightened a treat.

Cheers Ian.
