Surely if you can find a 'pure water' supplier why the need for static making facilitys, resin,ro units? Why do wfp users need this if we can get pure water delivered straight into a tank on our vehicles?

because it's cheaper to make your own...relatively speaking...but if you don't have that outlay to start with, then it's a way in to buy your water. There are growing 'Well's' around the country. My Company supports 4 of us, and another member supports another 2...I'm sure there are more...

'Scuse me DG - why have you nowhere to put an R/O? mine is only about 22" x 18" X 6" - or is water storage the problem? Cuz £2k could set you up nicely IMO

lol midas what a random thing to put in..

Malc G Explain how id store one.. im not sure really not looked into poles much but i was told of a guy on here that u need to store it in a warm dry place that has water and electric supply so, the only place i got is the house, cos no garage and it cant fit knowwhere here.

They are supposed to be quite big so ive heard like 4 foot or sommat, makes it kinda complicated, but if you know any different please let me know.

Replies to Midas and D.G. Windows

Hello Midas - The mountain scene is in North Wales - the peak in the distance is Snowdon (Highest mountain in the British Isles outside of Scotland) and although it doesn't look it is actually a little higher than the peak to the right. The photo is taken from the top of Crib Goch - another 3000ft+ mountain and the Crib Goch ridge in between is fun to walk/scramble with spectacular views and stunning drops either side!

DG - My R/O is connected to an outside tap (when I need to use it) and the pure water feeds into a 210l water-butt outside my back door. The waste goes down the drain. (My system is the aquatec trolley system from Peter Fogwill.)

During the recent sub zero night temperatures I put the unit inside and fed the water tubes out through a hole in the wall. I've only had the system a month and I will get round to building a shed structure around it all soon and put in a greenhouse type heater for frosty nights next winter.

Static tank

1 x 1000ltr tank                       £146.87
1 x 4040 R/O                            £616.88
2 x 20" Fillter Housings            £124.00
1 x 20" Carbon Fillter               £  30.74
1 x 20" Particulate Fillter          £  11.16

                          total incl vat   £929.65

At 80psi would produce 1000ltrs 3 1/2 hours.

Bag of resin would last at least a year - 18 months.

The cheapest I could find was Pure2o at £150+vat

http://shop.pure2o.co.uk/htdocs/acatalog/Pure_2o_Tanks_10.html

They do deliver, I think it costs extra.

ALSO, they will beat any like for like price
