Fishing Poles ( Getting Brassed Off ! ! )
« on: October 23, 2008, 06:35:26 am »
A bit of help here fella`s thanks.I`m breaking my second section
From the end ( where most of the strain is) of my fishing pole
For the lower work like the clappers.Yesterday morning at only
18 foot with just a Bentley brush and no goosneck, craccckkkkkk!
!!!!!!!!! The section split half way down along the full section,,
No kidding. And there`s no one more careful than myself with em`.
It`s a Tannex Clipper glass fiber goes to 20 feet or so working
Height.£15 brand new. There`s a load of bend with, like Rolf Harris
Boomerang.I`m getting brassed off with fishing poles,I`m never
Away from my fishing pole supplies place getting em`` mended
Or a new section or something.
Am I wrong,I do have 2 carbon fiber poles for my 40 foot plus jobs
But sometimes at lower heights I`m beginning to think they are more
Hasstle than enough!
Whats so special about the Ron Thomson `Gangster`and `ZensorFlex`
Poles?

Lewis,

You're just having the same problems as Squeaky, and he's got an off the shelf SL2; there's more breaks in it than in Evil Knievel's bones.

At least with a DIY Fishing pole it's cheap and less frustrating than if you've forked out hundreds on a pole.

Personally, for £20 I'd be happy if I got two months out of it; a disposable pole; but Matt's been using his Zensorflex for over a year now.
