Batteries For Pure Water Trolley Systems
« on: January 28, 2004, 10:23:33 am »
Can members reccomend a good rechargable battery for their D.I. trolley systems.
I know Peter uses or at least did used to use the Clarke model available in for instance
the Argos mail order catalouge. My system might not be compatable the shape being as it
is.I`ve been using the PS7 `Pro User` by Kingavon.Its a regular neat shape but I`m now
noticing that it soon runs down and needs charging more frequently. On average, how many
hours use should a battery have before needing to be re-charged?
Advice on suppliers, prices technical side of things much appreciated.

Thanks Davie, funnily enough with the weather being so lousy around these parts
I went into a car accessory shop this morning and they had some Kingavon P.S.400
in stock.Having said that the P.S.7 which I`ve had for awhile now it says on the instructions
that the battery can be changed same `speci` etc. etc. if you do.All the other bits and peices
like the light and jump leads etc. ya don`t need of course.I might look into it.Chances are the
battery will be the same as perhaps the Yausa with different terminals for recharging.

Just in case you get a flat battery, I'd leave the jump leads ON.
I got a backup from Makro a while ago, Peter very kindly converted it to power the WFP pump but I asked him to keep the leads on - you just never know, you know.
