DIY Pump box lid New
« on: September 17, 2008, 11:00:35 am »
I carry one of these grey pump boxes with a 100 psi pump insdie on my diy trolley and the only gripe about it is that water (rain water or drips from spillage) gradually leaks inside through the screw holes in the lid etc, and eventually wets the wires and stuff and stops or slows down the pump (Annoying!!!!). It starts up again when it drys but obviously its not good for it to keep getting wet. These boxes are probably intended for fixing in a van, but what can you do?

Anyway, as we've had quite a wet summer and are probably in for a wetter autumn and winter I decided to make a more suited lid that won't let any water in (like a shoe box lid) out of an old plastic box I had lying around so I can just get on with work without the hassle of stopping and starting all the time.

You probably think i'm sad but I thought i'd show you in case anyone might want to do something similar!!!  :D

This was the finished product. Didn't take me too long actually!
