i have an rx20 which i use on carpets and hard floors but i have a good customer who wants a rotary to use with black pads and brushes etc at his school. he wants something half decent without breaking the bank too much. any views on a good make/model machine that will last without blowing motors all the time,

Express sell a couple of Numatics, this may be the best but it's quite slow at 150rpm:

What about a Victor?

example: www.victorcentral.com/product.asp?action=s&gid=84

The pro might be a decent purchase... probably not the cheapest but built to last.  Buy cheap, buy twice etc.

Not sure how numatics compare to these quality-wise.

Probably plenty more options out there

Colin

Believe it or not I’m in the same boat as you.

You didn’t say what he uses at the moment? ;)

I have the following machines X 4 in some cases Truvox, Dowding & Plummer aka Victor and Taski all about 10years old from new, a bit peeved with Truvox need a new handle comes in two parts £38 quid each plus vat and carriage were Taski new drive board £29.10 scrub board £38.58 plus vat oh new wheel for my sprite 300 £5.85 and some are still used on daily staff don’t give a t o s s never had a motor go!

Numatic ant that cheap over all, quite fancy a cleanfix machine like the balance and it’s like a watch  ???
