A)  Just turn up and do it, taking the pain with the gain?

B1)  Tell'em what you were going to do verbally and if they baulked you were prepared to drop them

B2)  As B1) but with a flyer to explain the benefits

C)  Just do certain windows first of all to build their confidence?

D)  A combination of the above?

first time around, i had loads of leaflets printed, but have used about 10  :

i am now on my 2nd time around / some places 3rd time around and im doing all windows with it

Told most the month before, teh ones I missed I gave a leaflet and some explanation when I turned up to clean. The rest are aout all day so wouldn't know if I cleaned their windows with a damp dog.....

All new ones get a leaflet and away I go..

Hi I did all my work for 20yrs with ladders ect. And told all my customers the month before that I was chaning to WFP, I had one complaint as they did not like the water on the floor. Most asked how much extra did it cost? and they were willing to pay more. The only reget I have I sould have done it years ago.

I just turned up and sais that this was the way it's going to be in the future......bit rude I suppose....but it worked, and most stayed...(and humoured me)

Hi all
Going to wfp in the summer and have been training/softening up the customers (see thread on dutch bungalows). I've based the chat on Dukes leaflet. They all like the idea till I tell em the windows will be wet and will dry clear, they just dont believe it and I can see that any probs on the first clean will lead to losses. Two of my rounds are very compact approx 90% & 80% and I dont want to lose to many and have to walk distances with the trolley. So learning from your lessons will help.

I didnt even tell em in advance just turned up. Most were impressed and pleased with the results. 80 % are out all day anyway so they don't even know about the change. If you alert them they will look out for spots but if you have cleaned em well for years they will just pay up and smile. The advantages of this blitz technique is you only have to explain the system a bit at a time  so you keep your speed up

Hi Simon - am I right in saying you do/did tops only with the pole and bottoms with squeegee?

I told my customers when i next visited.I took a peice of litrature with me for them to read and not one said anything.I do not use ladders at all only for accsses..I can email if you like.
