Don't think the weight would be a problem
Don't mean to point out the obvious but get the dimensions of the tank & measure it.
The strapping points in most vans are not up to holding water tanks, so fit some eye bolts through the chassis. Thats what i did on my van.

a 1000ltr layflat will fit into a short transit no probs. i fitted one in last week. do you want the dimentions so you can see for yourself

1000 ltrs is a ton of water becareful and check the payload of your vehicle
take into consideration all the rest of the gear you will be carrying plus of course yourself and passengers
