Is this because of price ? I am looking for an answer as the one I put has been bought and keeps cutting out,

For a start I'm no expert, but neither in the links are too powerful - but I do know mine will cut out if water stops flowing evenly through it.  It's got a sensor that detects instantly if it's running dry so it stops to protect it.  Check that out.

I was going to say arn't they supposed to cut out? That's what the chamber is there for to pressurise the water. I would think it near impossible to get a constant flow when flow in is much less than flow out?

The 1st one is more powerful than the second.

1 bar = 15psi (pounds per square inch approximately).

I use one as in the 1st pic and it isn't too powerful. Luckily I bought mine for £140.

you don't need the expansion tank, its just more added cost.  the tam120 will do fine, as will the cpe 120 or cbm240.

for a guide 10mtrs head is 1.5bar = 22.5psi

so the cpe with a head of 50m = 7.5bar = 112.5psi

you will obviously reduce the flow the higher youset the pressure but any of those pumps will do.

no pressure switch needed, no controller needed, no expansion tank needed.

I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

As Alan says you don't need an expansion tank (because all it does is store an overflow of water after the pump), pressure switch or controller to keep costs down to a minimum.

If you use an accumulator tank prior to the pump, the purpose of it is to make sure you have a reserve of water stored in a small tank prior to the pump.  Some of these can be pumped up using bicycle adaptors to pump the inner bladder up to a desired pressure prior to the pump. The purpose of it is to ensure the pump doesn't run dry and to prolong the life of the pump although with the pumps used for window cleaning they are perfectly suitable for running dry so it really doesn't make a big difference.

it does cut out but thats after about 15 seconds  it only goes up to about 40psi

Speak to RO Man. He advised me brilliantly and they have a specific booster pump for theirs.
